Odyssey Update
Greetings Odyssey of the Mind!
This week we will continue solving the Wild.Winged.Wonders problem. Working on a project like this digitally has proven to have some interesting challenges, therefore, the due date has been extended to allow the teams a little more time in creating and solving the problem.
The Spirit of the Problem is to create and present a performance that includes three birds. Students will present the merits of each bird, select one for a special recognition, and give the reasons why that bird was chosen. Students will also create a commemorative memento for the special recognition. One bird will fly or appear to fly.
What is Odyssey of the Mind?
Odyssey of the Mind is a creative competitive were the children will select a long term project, build and design their set and devices, then perform their creative solution to a group of judges. We will attend our first competition in March. Teams that score in the top 2 per category will proceed to the state competition in April. : -)
Odyssey Fee
There is a $100 club fee that covers the competition shirt, the competition fees, and supplies for the teams. The Power Campus front desk can take call in credit cards, in-person checks or cash. After-school club will begin once students are able to attend school.
